GREAT ACHIEVEMENT
The Team Gym gymnasts from Leatherhead & Dorking Gymnastics Club again demonstrated their high skill levels winning five (5) Gold Medals and two Silver Medals at the "Hawth Open" competition held at the Crawley. The winners were the National Youth team who also received a special awards for the highest national floor routine score, the Regional Junior Team, the Primary Challenge. The mini girls and senior micro teams. Runners up medals went to the micro boys and national juniors.
These outstanding performances which earlier in the year resulted in two british titles.
The gymnasts who train up to six times a week are led by Team Gym head coach Charlotte Heelas with Kim Skelton, Sue Hunsworth and Emily Chambers providing strong support.
